ONKYO AV Center SA-205HD Sound Muddling/Sound Dropout Troubleshooting - 2508

The Onkyo SA-205HD, a small and lightweight AV center, has relays (relays) in series for each of the three speaker (SP) circuits: "Front L/R", "Center", and "Surround L/R". Over time, contact failure in the contacts can cause muffled sound, making normal listening difficult. Therefore, I have devised an "electrical countermeasure" that bypasses the relay contact points using LED indicators and toggle switches.

In this listing, I have confirmed that the following are working correctly: "Line 1-3", "Optical 1, -2", and "HDMI 1-1, -2" inputs, and the "Speaker (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Subwoofer)" and "TV" outputs, as well as the fan operation.

1. Instructions
* Three LEDs and switches corresponding to the three relays are located on the right side of the main unit (see photo). When the product is shipped, the switch levers are in the down position, and the "electrical countermeasure" is not activated.
* When the main unit is powered on, the LED corresponding to the listening mode will light up.
* By moving the switch lever below the lit LED from the down position to the up position, the "electrical countermeasure" is implemented, and normal sound will be produced.
* You do not need to touch the three switches during normal listening.

2. The items included are the "SA-205HD" main unit (with scratches and dirt on the top cover, see photos) and the self-made accompanying document "(Outline of Measures Against Muffled Sound/Sound Dropout)". Please prepare the "Remote Control (RC-678S)" and "Instruction Manual" separately.

3. Other
* Regarding returns, I will follow the Mercari Guide "Product Return Procedure". My approach is as follows:
* "Please proceed with the item return procedure after an agreement is reached with me (the top cover seal of the item must not be removed, and you must contact me regarding the return by email or phone within 7 days of the item's arrival)." Please note that the buyer is responsible for the shipping costs for the return (the return address is listed in the "self-made accompanying document"). I will confirm that the product seal has not been broken and then apply for cancellation on Mercari. The product price will be returned to the buyer according to the payment method after the transaction is canceled.
