This is a stunning coat I had made out of vintage materials that I had collected inspired by an old cabbages and roses coat of mine which I sadly outgrew! The outside of this coat is a cream/light bright velour velvet with puffed sleeves, a beautifully full swinging body and ruffled neck and cuffs. The lining is part raw silk on the front and part polyester/cotton on the back and sleeves - all vintage. I even found vintage buttons for the top of this coat whilst hidden press studs close the remaining front so that it does not blow open in the wind. The ruffles on the neck and cuffs are raw silk. This coat is absolutely stunning, quite heavy and warm and completely unique to wear. The pit to pit measures 23.5 inches and the shoulders 17 inches. It is a roomy UK size 16. As it was made with vintage materials it does have the odd mark but nothing glaring - they are included in the photos. A real work of art but I’m lucky enough to have now replaced this and would love for someone else to enjoy its beauty and heritage too.
