In 1914, Princess Mary was the 17 year old daughter of George V. The Princess Mary Christmas Gift Box was a brass tin containing a number of gifts distributed to all members of the armed forces of the British Empire at Christmas 1914. The box contained 20 cigarettes in a yellow monogrammed wrapper, an ounce of pipe tobacco, a pipe, a Christmas card and a photo of Princess Mary. This box comes with the yellow wrapper, the Christmas card and envelope and the photo. Included in this lovely pack are 7 great photographs of the soldier to whom the box belonged, his Active Service Pay Book, a letter from sent by him from Egypt and a travel warrant. Also included is his WW1 cloth insignia with 4 red chevrons worn on the lower right sleeve (visible in one of the photos) denoting British Army Overseas Service denoting this soldier served at least 4 years overseas. Also included is the soldier's dog tag. I believe Vinted's rules prevent me from including names in this description. I can provide additional photos if required. A truly wonderful package.
