Hornsea Lancaster Vitramic 'Contrast' range of pottery. The 'Contrast' range was designed by Martin Hunt and Colin Rawson. It was Hornsea Pottery's most successful range, produced from 1974 to 1992. The design featured a distinctive chocolate brown, unglazed, vitrified clay body with a glazed band around the rim. The range won a Design Council Award in 1974 for its durability and design.
