Stunning 1970s Maxi Evening Dress with Silky Drape, batwing sleeve and Beading on Collar

This is quite a rare 1970s evening gown by John Charles. The cut and drape is beautiful and very evocative of 70s party dressing. It has a delicate puff shoulder with a gorgeous full sleeve that tapers to the cuff. The collar has a 2 inch band of beading all the way around and there are ten buttons fixed to the side if the waist. The dress itself has a very Edwardian style with a diagonal band that extends into a swishy full skirt that’s extremely flattering. The dress in a UK 12 but would fit a 10 also. Put to Pit 38 inches, shoulder to shoulder 16 inches. It’s a long maxi dress of 57 inches shoulder to hem so I’d suggest you’re 5ft 6 or taller. It’s clearly evening/party wear. If you have the lifestyle of visiting opera or ballet, this might look stylish in a beautiful setting.
