Vintage Original Art African Handmade Carved Green/Grey Soapstone Male Bust

There are times I run across something that I know next to nothing about--thjs piece represents one of those rare moments for me. What I am decently sure of is that this noble bust of a man was hand-carved in Africa from soapstone. There are color and texture variations in the stone, ranging from greens, greys, and browns--stone as smooth as a river rock, stone that is pitted, rough, or deeply carved. This bust is original, there is no other exactly like it. This piece is unsigned, undated, and it's exact origin is unknown (though I have read that the greenish hue of soapstone is indicative of early Rhodesian carvers). He's a beautiful guy with an intense, interesting look in his eyes. I'm sure he has a story to tell. He measures 6.5" tall, with a 3.5" width at the base.
