Coro jewelry, Cohn & Rosenberger, was founded in New York by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger in 1901/1902 and incorporated in 1913. A factory was established in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911
HISTORY OF Costume Jewelry started being designed around 1920's right after WWI when precious metals like Gold, Silver and Platinum were scarce, so most Costume Jewelry you see is SILVER TONE OR GOLD TONE.
Clip on Earrings started in the 1920s and 1930s often featured Art Deco-inspired geometric designs while more feminine floral designs began to take over in the 1940s and on into the 1950s. Screw back closures were the first closure types created for clip-ons. The paddle back and simple clip versions were the next styles introduced in the 1930s.
