No scratches, cracks, or chips. the wrought iron base is not rough - it's smooth and a little bit shiny. The votive cups are glued to the base and are not removeable. Measures 8" high (at highest point) x 14.5" wide (side to side) x 4" deep (front to back of the legs). Each red glass votive cup measures 2.25" high x 2.25" across the rim. Beautiful for a dining or coffee table centerpiece or on a side or sofa table. Can be used at the holidays or year round.
