Product Description
In the mid to late 1900s, Stratton, a British compact manufacturer, collaborated with Wedgwood to produce compacts, lipstick holders, cuff links, and other men's accessories featuring Jasperware.
These are cuff links also made at that time.
They are rare black Jasperware, with George IV on the left side of the image (facing right).
On the right side of the image (facing left) is the Duke of York and Albany / Frederick.
In 1811, when the Prince Regent (later George IV) was appointed Regent, Frederick was appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Army; the two were brothers.
The original box is marked "Wedgwood CUFF LINKS by Stratton," and the cuff links themselves do not have the manufacturer's name.
Unfortunately, this item does not come with a box, but the clasp has the PAT number found on Stratton cuff links and the "GILT" stamp.
There are many Jasper cuff links made through the collaboration of the two companies, but this is a rare design that is not often seen.
As a vintage item, there are scratches and minor imperfections due to age.
【Stratton / Stratton】
Founded in England in 1860 as a knitting needle manufacturer.
In 1923, they released their first powder compact, and in the 1950s and 60s, during the heyday of powder cosmetics, they were the most famous powder compact manufacturer in the world.
Everything in the photos is included.
