Floral Vintage 1920’s Feather Eiderdown pretty chintz Rose & Paisley Cottagecore flowers with pie crust edging detail 100cm x 153cm single bed size as shown in my photos and also fits perfectly on a king size bed width wise as shown in my photos (wanted to show on both sizes beds to show how it could be styled on both). Absolutely stunning eiderdown, laundered ready to go, no marks or stains, still very plump considering its age, the odd small repair has been carried out due to the age of the piece but hardly noticeable. One side has faded slightly but it doesn’t detract from its beauty. Looks so pretty sat at the end of the bed or in a child’s bedroom. Backstory on the quilt: I got this eiderdown a few years ago from a house clearance of a lady who has passed away at 105 years old. Her family had said that it had always sat at the end of her bed and they were sure she had had it since she was a child so it must be from around the 1920’s era?! I intended to use it on my daughter’s bed but she wanted a Disney duvet 🤦‍♀️ so it has sat safely stored away in my airing cupboard ever since but it needs to be enjoyed and appreciated by someone. I can see it sitting on the bed in a country cottage!! I’m not in a rush to sell it as it needs to go to the right person who will truly appreciate the quality of such a piece. Similar vintage quilts sold by Rose & Foxgloves are being sold for quite a bit more than I am asking so I feel my price is fair for such a unique piece.
