While not widely known in Japan, DESMO is a famous bag brand in Europe.
DESMO was founded in Florence, Italy in 1975 by Gabriele Fantappie and his father. Gabriele commented, "A brand ends when the designer focuses more on image than quality," and the brand's designers rarely appear publicly.
