I found these relics in two trips to a heavily hunted Virginia Calvary camp near Waylands Mill in Culpeper county in 2016 and include a very rare calvary hat pin that thru my research ive only seen two other examples one of which is in a well known collector and author of many civil war books most collectors study. Its made of a thick stock brass and attachment pin is missing. Also one of the rings has a name in it but cant make out all the letters. Some burnsides , 45s and buttons round out the group.
