＜JAMIESONS＞ "Jamieson's" is a long-established Shetland knitwear company founded in 1893. They carefully select wool from the Shetland Islands in Scotland and finish it with natural dyes. The unique geometric border patterns are originally from Fair Isle, one of the Shetland Islands, and are famous worldwide as the traditional knit pattern - ＜FAIRISLE＞ "Fair Isle". The Shetland region has historically been influenced by Nordic culture, and it is said that this unique pattern was born from a mix of Celtic culture (British patterns) and Nordic culture (Norwegian patterns). Fair Isle sweaters were once knitted in each household, but most of the current production has moved from Fair Isle to Scotland. In 1922, the Duke of Windsor (later Edward VIII) wore it as golf wear, and the Fair Isle sweater became known worldwide.
