Kunitomi Shinichi
1892-1964 Meteorologist of the Taisho and Showa periods
Born on July 4, 1892. He joined the Central Meteorological Observatory in 1919, became the Director of the Keijo Meteorological Observatory, then the Director of the Shanghai Meteorological Observatory, and finally the Director of the Osaka District Meteorological Observatory in 1945. After retirement, he served as a professor at Tokyo Women's University, Tokyo Denki University, and Toyo University. He passed away on December 22, 1964, at the age of 72. Born in Tokyo, he graduated from Tokyo Imperial University. His works include "Introduction to Meteorology" and "All-you-can-read Seasons."
As a disciple of Takahama Kyoshi, this book compiles the haiku he had read after his death.
