Since its establishment, Koiwai Tsumugi Kobo has been dedicated to hand-weaving.
They adhere to the philosophy passed down through generations that traditional crafts should be made using traditional methods (hand-weaving).
At first glance, it's difficult to tell the difference between hand-woven and machine-woven fabrics, but you'll notice the difference when you wear the kimono.
Hand-woven kimonos become softer and more supple the more you wear them, conforming comfortably to your body. This texture is something that cannot be replicated by machine weaving.
