Lladró MY LOST LAMB by Francisco Catalá, #2164. Gres Matte. Dated 1986, a year before introduction to the public. The figure is of a young girl, walking into the wind, sharing a blanket with her just found lamb/sheep. The Spanish title, ABRIGADOS (in English, SHELTERED), is a fine description of the scene: a lost lamb is now protected from the wind, and warm and safe in the familiar girl’s arms. ABOUT GRES MATTE: Lladró developed its Gres line of figurines using a new firing technique that produced subdued hues on porcelain. 9”H x 5"W x 5”Deep. WT=1.30 lbs. Retired in 1999. No box. She measures about 9" tall, marked on the bottom with logo and signature. No chips or cracks, great condition.
