I have translated the Danish painter Peder Severin Kroyer's painting into a knitted piece.
The gap between the summer scenery and the winter knit is a characteristic feature. The yarn is made of soft kid mohair that is not prickly, and the finish is brushed to create a blurred overall look. Angora goat hair "mohair" has smaller scales (scales on the surface of the fiber) than wool, giving it a smooth, soft texture and luster. It also has a moderate firmness and volume, and it contains a lot of air, making it warm. The voluminous mock neck collar contrasts with the hem and sleeves, which are deliberately left unribbed, creating a warm yet casual look.
